Lotus Fucker - Lotus Fucker (2009)

Lotus fucking Fucker are the tits man! These anime punks from D.C. play a blend of super fast-paced aggressive shit that makes King Kong look like a little bitch. Heaps of noise comes this feedback cesspool of musical prowess.

Bishop of Hexen - The Nightmarish Compositions (2006)

This album sounds like a carnival summoned from the fiery pits of Baphomets rectum, meaning it's oozing with deliciously evil atmospherics, ghoulish screams, and an overall ambiance of hellish magnitude. It sounds evil, not like a Impetuous Ritual type of evil, but like a well....nightmarish composition.

Woodland - Dreamality (2009)

Here is a folk metal album by Woodland that took me a little while to get into and I really can't figure out why that is, since it rips pretty fucking hard. Not "rips" in the sense of furious tremolo picking and blasting drums, but in the sense of musicianship. It doesn't share that "heard this before..." type of structure that you might expect from a band in this genre.

If you were to look on my Last.FM profile you would notice that I listen to every album while I do a write up for it, to keep things fresh in my head...and well genuine perhaps. But my fucking point is, I have spent half the time writing this drumming on my goddamn desk. I enjoy it, you may not, which in that case. EATABAGOFDICKS.

FIXED: The password for the link is "trueblackmetal" (one of the only download links left for this album, let me know if there are any problems.)

Coke Bust - Fuck Bar Culture EP (2007)

Straight edge hardcore that straight rips through six songs in under 4 minutes. It's good though, plus you can listen to it fifteen times in an hour...which I have done. That illustration is also gnarly, I think I would be the guy on the right, with the what appears to be an Acid Bath shirt on.

Benighted - Asylum Cave (2011)

Not exactly a feast for the brain, but Benighted remains to be among the elites in forward-thinking deathgrind. The intro initially had me second guessing if I was listening to the wrong album...I wasn't. I have only listened through this once though, so I am unable to give it my full praise, but from what I heard it was quite good. Everything you would expect from Benighted, and then some. I do recall raising an eyebrow or two though. More breakdowns then a...well, mental asylum. ZING!

"Why are you so brutal to me?"

Ordo Draconis - Camera Obscura Part 1 & 2 (2005)

Describing the sound of these two albums is some what of a futile task, its very odd and quirky, but at the same time eerie and very avant-garde. This is Post-Black Metal from the Netherlands that has had me listening since these two albums came out in '05. Imagine for a second that you are making a delicious pot of black metal soup; The cauldron for black metal soup is an active volcano of course, in this active volcano we toss in ingredients of Emperor, a dash of Arcturus, a healthy pinch of Le Grand Guignol and of course blazing tremolo picking and odd synth strings. How's that for an absolutely retarded example?

At one moment you are listening to blistering black metal, in the next moment you are listening to what appears to be a sample from Goldeneye 64. I dunno, its rad though. It's a shame these guys totally fly under the radar for most. So Enjoy this odd rare beast, or forever be a whore.

Munly & The Lupercalians - Petr & The Wulf (2010)

A concept album based on the story of "Petr & The Wolf" that teeters on sounding like a post-apocalyptic renaissance faire after dissolving 3 sheets of acid in a glass of bourbon. No, but really, these guys are like the Portal of Folk. This is not really my niche but I do know it works on a verse-chorus-verse structure. With that being said, each song continually develops into something diverse and memorable.

Eerie shit, I know. The atmosphere is woven with it's share of eccentrics but I'll be damned if a looming sense of disparity and eeriness isn't present. This may take a couple of spins for it to fully set in. It's good.

Trap Them - Darker Handcraft (2011)

3rd album from Trap Them is fucking tits man, merging elements of hardcore, black metal, death metal and grind into a murky quagmire of musical deliciousness. It's music, listen to it for yourself instead of reading about it. Until next post, then you better fucking read again.

Mumakil - Behold the Failure (2009)

Enter Mumakil from Switzerland, a grind band named after those burly elephants in LOTR that stomp fuckers into a bloody mist, leaving nothing but a trail of bones and human pancakes in their wake. Behold The Failure does the exact same thing...but to your ear holes. 27 songs playing for a total of 35 minutes at a blistering speed with crunchy tones. It's about as heavy as an "oliphaunt" and as fast as Legolas.

Ceremony - Still Nothing Moves You (2008)

I guess you can say I have been into a lot of raw heavy punk as of late, already posting Revenge and Funerot recently, It's only fitting that I add Ceremony to that list. The juggernaut of hardcore comes Ceremony with fast and furious jams that are nothing short of enraged.

Funerot - And Then You Fucking Die Man (2010)

Once again we have some brilliantly executed Metalpunk-Thrash that would make even Fenriz blush. I have been replaying this album constantly lately, It is near flawless in it's approach and I am starting to think this really should of been on my top 2010.

It's raw, punky, heavy, dirty, catchy and everything else beautiful and morbid. Every instrument can be heard well and yet the production remains uncleaned and genuine. Each song coheres to the motto "live fast die young", and then you fucking die man.

You Fucking Die  (Sorry dudes, this is Megaupload)

Volcanic Slut - Blasphemaster EP (2010)

Blistering Metalpunk-Thrash with a nod to Black/Death Metal, but let's face it, not everything can be perfectly lumped into our cute little genre labels. There are an array of musical elements and influences that can be heard on this EP, but instead of analyzing each and every one of them, you can spend the next 7 minutes listening to the entire EP yourself and interpret the way you hear it. It's good, bang your fucking head!

Offal - Offal (2006)

"Tonight, we begin with torture! Again I warn you, that if you find what you see is a little upsetting to your stomachs, then just pretend we're play-acting. But if you're skeptical or bored then just pretend what you see is real!" Starting off with this sound-clip from "Bloodsucking Freaks", how could this shit be bad?

It isn't, it's fucking rad. I bought this on a whim when I payed a routine visit to my favorite CD store "Sonic Boom" yesterday. I really didn't know what to expect, I mean, I knew it was going to be gnarly and chalked with gore just by looking at the illustrations and song titles on the CD, but I didn't expect to like it as much as I do.

What we have here is a festering pile of Death Metal. Forget modern day approach, this is grainy, messy, raw, and devoid of sophistication. Oozing with Autopsy worship this album still stands on it's own two feet with an atmosphere that is truly rancid and grotesque. The real gem is in the vocal work, it sounds as if a maggot infested undead overlord has belched them out.

Enjoy this scumfuck.

Revenge - Revenge (2009)

Angrier than Charlie Sheen on a bender comes this furious onslaught from Revenge. 17 songs running for 17 minutes, but the real gem is in the approach, they kick out fast and furious jams that are not only angry in sound but those lyrics are pissed. The main reason for this is the vocal style, its raw and in your face. Its almost like a hardcore approach to black metal vocal styling.

This album is basically a ghost on the internet,  no album reviews, barely any download links or blog posts, it almost doesn't exist. This is unfortunate because it hauls some major ass. Support this shit.

Witchrist - Beheaded Ouroboros (2010)

A slab of feral death metal from New Zealand that has been unfortunately overlooked by most. The tempo shifts used throughout the album stomp pretty fucking hard, at times its slow and doomy and then out of nowhere layers of coherent drumming and riffs bombard your ear holes with grimy force. Think of old Incantation meets Impetuous Ritual befriended by Mitochondrion.

Little Women - Throat (2010)

I am going to do this post a little differently than usual. This album is an absolute mind fuck, so an avant-garde post is fitting. Download this album, listen to the first song, then come back on here and tell us what the fuck you thought was going on.

Predictions: Some of you will shut it off before the minute mark.

NAILS - Unsilent Death (2010)

This album will pry open your mouth and shit down your throat with brutal force. I almost punched myself in the face halfway through the album and it only runs for 13 minutes spanned over 10 songs. Filthy guitar and bass tones create a thick wall of noisy hardcore that at times bring in elements of sludge, doom, death and grind. NAILS was started by ex-guitarist Todd Jones of Terror, but Unsilent Death is much angrier and intense than any Terror song I have ever heard.
